Sunny Allis Artist Talk
with All Together Now! screening

Sunny Allis works intuitively and with embodied physicality to create works that convey a heightened
state of aliveness, spontaneity, and play. They explore transformation as a generative
state of creation, and celebrate the queer/trans body as expansive, dynamic and limitless.
Many of Sunny’s projects focus on community and connection through different mediums
of storytelling. Sunny released a gender-inclusive, bilingual children’s book called
Hooray, What A Day!/¡Viva, Qué Día! They are currently developing a multimedia, inclusive kids TV show called All Together Now! Sunny is also a current MAC Artist in Residence.
This event will include a screening of the proof of concept All Together Now! followed by a talk and a Q&A opportunity. General topics of discussion will cover
the transformative power of art. Sunny utilizes specific techniques and folds into
their practice intentional world building, one that is inclusive and equitable. They
will also discuss their processes and driving forces behind their work.
This event is open to MCLA students and the general public.
