Internships & Careers

Internships

Students in the Biology Department can gain professional experience through internships in a variety of fields.  Some internships are already established; others are set up by students and faculty to accommodate a student’s specific area of interest.  Students earn one (1) internship credit for every 45 hours of on-site work.  In addition, meetings with faculty and written work are typically required.  Up to 15 credit hours for internships can be applied to the MCLA graduation requirements.  Students interested in setting up an internship, or participating in an established internship should discuss this with their advisor.

Recent student internships have involved the following:

  • Animal care at MCLA
  • Plant care at MCLA
