Center for Teaching and Learning

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) promotes student success by providing faculty and instructional staff with professional enrichment opportunities that support their development as educators, advisors, and scholars.

Vision and Goals

The Center for Teaching and Learning cultivates and sustains a campus culture that values inclusive pedagogies, evidence-based instructional practices, and diverse learning communities.

Goals

The Center for Teaching and Learning serves as the nexus for professional development at MCLA, centralizing and coordinating ongoing enrichment programs and new initiatives. To this end, the CTL:

  • Collaborates with faculty, staff, students, and administrators to advance evidence-based and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Supports the development of faculty teaching, advising, and scholarship.
  • Fosters academic success and a life of learning for all MCLA students by helping to provide them a rich and rigorous educational experience.
