MCLA Green Living Seminar Series Presents ‘Bicycling in Berkshire County: History and Future’ with Nicholas Russo April 20

Nicholas Russo, the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission’s Senior Transportation Planner, will give a talk titled “Bicycling in Berkshire County: History and Future” at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20 at the MCLA Feigenbaum Center for Science and Innovation, Room 121.  

Part of MCLA’s Green Living Seminar series, this event is free and open to the public. Please note that masks are required in all buildings on MCLA’s campus. 

About Berkshire Regional Planning Commission 

Working with a professional planning staff and a citizen commission, the Berkshire Regional Planning Commission (BRPC) seeks to enhance the regional resilience and quality of life in the Berkshires region of Massachusetts through a variety of initiatives and projects encompassing land use, transportation, economic development, environmental management, sustainable communities and public health. BRPC has been actively collaborating with 32 rural and urban communities since 1966 to deal with the regional challenges, opportunities and assets. Recommendations are crafted to strengthen the region’s built environment, natural landscape and environment, governance and economy. Per federal mandate, BRPC is responsible for major regional transportation planning programs and projects in our region, and is also responsible for regional review procedures as required by various federal and state programs.

The series is a presentation of the MCLA Environmental Studies Department and MCLA’s Berkshire Environmental Resource Center. 

Presentations will also be broadcast on Northern Berkshire Community Television Channel (NBCTC) 1302 at the following times: 

  • Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
  • Fridays at 4 p.m.
  • Saturdays at 3:30 p.m.
  • Sundays at 11:30 a.m.
  • Mondays at 5:30 p.m.
