Want to know what campus life is like at MCLA? Our students are eager to answer your
questions. Each Trailblazer provides a unique perspective.
Psychology/Health Science,/Child & Family Studies
I chose MCLA because I was looking for a school that would enhance my leadership abilities.
Not only that but I also want to be a part of a campus community where it is diverse
and filled with new opportunities. I am now the secretary of the Nexxus step team,
I am a Woman of Color Chapter Head and a part of a variety of clubs such as Latin
American society and Black Student Union. Being at MCLA the staff here has pushed
me to be my best both academically and socially, which I am SUPER grateful for.
Performing Arts (Theatre), Education (Elementary)
I chose MCLA because of the small knit community and the location of the Berkshires.
At MCLA I can connect with professors individually and be able to receive great opportunities
because of it. North Adams is also a unique art town with lots of different places
to explore! In the Education and Theatre departments, I was able to find a place that
I felt like I really belonged.
International Business Administration
MCLA is home to me, because of the small, inclusive community it provides! One of
my favorite things about MCLA is the one-on-one interactions with your professors
and how they are always willing to help you to succeed in their classes! At MCLA,
I’ve had the opportunity to be the VP of the Hoosac Hall Advisory Board, to be a member
of the Cross Country team, to be a Dance Company member, be a part of the MASSPIRG
internship program for the New Voters Project, and to become an Admission Ambassador!
What put MCLA over the top for me is their connection to the students and the arts.
I knew I wanted to work in the arts and seeing how connected the professors are to
local arts organizations and how it spreads to the classroom really excited me.
