We realize there is often concern about the high cost of a college education. This is why MCLA is committed to offering students the high quality experience of a small private college at a public price. On average, tuition and fees at MCLA are approximately 80% less than a private institution in New England for residents of Massachusetts.
The Office of Financial Aid administers federal and state financial aid programs. Approximately 75% of MCLA students receive some form of financial assistance. Most financial aid packages consist of a combination of grants, loans and part-time employment. Student aid funds come primarily from state and federal programs such as Pell Grants, Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants, the College Work-Study Program, Perkins Loans and Stafford Student Loans. For students who do not have their needs met or do not qualify for financial aid, there are a number of alternative loan and payment plans available.
